Auckland bowlers dominated when the finals of North Harbour’s Open two-four-two pairs tournament were held at the Orewa club on Sunday.
In the main event Bridge Park’s Phil Taylor and Teo Turua beat the more experienced and more fancied Royal Oak pair of former Black Jack Danny Delany and Joe Whitelaw 11-9.
With 80 teams in this event, and lovely weather on day 1, but cool crisp conditions at Bowls Orewa today, the event was finished in daylight. Thanks to the host clubs, volunteers, umpires & directors.
