Essential Maintenance of Greens – Update
Please see attached the criteria that MBIE have established for the essential maintenance of bowling greens while the country remains in Covid-19 Level 4 Alert status.
MBIE Advice on Greens Maintenance During Covid-19 Level 4 Alert
Our bowling club membership demographic remains a high risk to Covid-19 and we therefore recommend that bowling clubs continue to err on the side of caution. We strongly recommend that only one person should be carrying out all essential maintenance (although a second person from within that person’s isolation bubble would provide an exception to this).
Depending upon the distance your greenkeeper needs to travel to the club for this work to be carried out, you may need to provide him / her with a letter from the club that confirms their role as greenkeeper so that they can present it to police or other authorities if requested to do so.
Please ensure that only essential maintenance to the green(s) is carried out by your greenkeeper until further notice.
