1. Secretary on leave
We advise that Lesley Langer, our secretary, is on leave from today for some time and we will advise when she returns. We do wish her well in her time away and look forward to her return. While she is away the telephone and emails will be taken care of as business as normal by Raewyn Thomas who will direct these messages to the appropriate person to deal with them.
2. COVID LOCKDOWN AND CLUB VACCINATION POLICY
Auckland remains on Level Three, Step Two ………………….
Step Two: Under this step, the Bowls New Zealand recommendations are –

Gatherings of no more than 25 persons at any one time.
-
There are no restrictions on the number of bubbles that may mix.
-
Bowlers may switch rinks.
-
Clubrooms may be open only for essential services (e.g. toilets).
-
Mats and Jacks may be used but must be sanitised before and after play.

The pre-booking of rinks is no longer required
-
The wearing of face coverings is encouraged.
*This is Bowls New Zealand’s interpretation of step two in the three-step process within Alert level Three. They will update our official guidelines as we compare our interpretation with the latest government communications.
As clubs make decisions on the requirements for their club and members we would appreciate being advised as it is BNH intention to only hold their events at clubs who have adopted a full vaccination policy to apply at their club’s premises.

MENS INTERCLUB 7’S
Playing dates Sat 12/13 February & 12 March 2022 Entries close on Friday 28th January 2022
Entrants must be double vaccinated by 28th January 2022 Entry Fee: $100
BNH WOMEN CENTRE TRIPLES
Playing dates Sat 19/20 February 2022
Entries close on Friday 4th February 2022

BNH MEN CENTRE SINGLES

4. BNH NZ MASTERS 2022
Date of tournament: 14th to 18th February 2022
Entries continue to be received and we are looking forward to a great week of bowls for our Masters participants.
Please note that you and your team will be required to be double vaccinated by 1st February 2022
Please put your entries in now. If you are concerned it may be cancelled by Covid as it was last year, you will be refunded your entry fee as you were last year

Thank you to the clubs who have responded with their club information to assist BNH to host this tournament. We have received replies from Browns Bay, Milford, Takapuna, Mairangi Bay and Orewa. If your club has not replied yet would you please do so as we need the assistance of your club as a venue for this tournament on the days you have available.
5. RESURGENCE SUPPORT PAYMENTS
If your club has not applied for this support yet then you are missing out. It is not difficult to apply and if your club treasurer needs any assistance, our treasurer, Raewyn Thomas, is only too willing to help.
The next payment, which is available from 12 November is doubled at $3,000 plus $800 per FTE.
For your Treasurer: If you have not claimed a Resurgence Support Payment for your club you are doing the club out of funds that your club could do with, in these Covid times. Contact our Treasurer, Raewyn Thomas on 027 499 8697, if you need assistance.
