COC Triples – Robertson makes it COC “Hat-Trick” Womens Final goes to Extra End
Champagne will be flowing at the Helensville Bowling Club today as their Triples Team won the Final emphatically 23-6. Bart Robertson makes it 3/3 by adding the COC Triples Trophy to the Singles and Pairs he won in previous weekends. Also Ricky Howe makes it a double as he partnered Bart to win the COC Pairs last weekend. The Teams that are competing in next weekend’s COC Fours will be very happy that Bart’s team didn’t qualify and therefore won’t be playing.
It was a different story in the Women’s Final where the “Local Derby” between Manly and Orewa went right down to the wire where both teams were locked at 15-15 after 15 Ends. However in the Extra End it was the Orewa trio who held their nerve picking up 3 shots on the Extra End to win 18-15.
Congratulations to all teams that participated in the COC Triples as you all have won your Club Championships just to reach this weekend. Also a big thank you to Maureen Taylor who Directed this tournament, the Umpires who officiated on both days and the the host clubs Manly, Takapuna and Orewa.
