Changes to the Board of Bowls North Harbour

  • September 21, 2022

Bowls North Harbour wishes to inform you that Steven Yates has decided to resign from the position of Board Member and Chairperson for personal reasons.

In his tenure, Steven’s energy and commitment has assisted the board to implement positive changes. As Chairperson he showed leadership with the Centre adopting the Bowls New Zealand BowlsHub Aotearoa which is an online player/tournament management system and he has also progressed a sponsorship agreement with Dynasty apparel, as previously announced.

The Board of BNH would like to wish Steven all the best in his next ventures and we look forward to seeing him on the greens.

Following Steven’s resignation, the Board has elected Robyne Walker as the new Acting Chairperson.  Robyne is a member of Takapuna Bowling Club and this is her second year on the BNH Board and she currently assists in the portfolios of Sponsorship and Marketing, Finance and Governance and Rep Liaison.  Robyne brings a strong background of governance to the Board having been a company director for some years, and a School Trustee for approximately 8 years.  She is very much committed to the promotion of BNH and the sport of bowls and will continue to work alongside the existing dedicated group of Board Members.
