Bowls North Harbour

2022 – 2023 Season

Women’s 1 to 5 Year Representative Squad

The selection process for the Bowls North Harbour started back in March 2022, with a call out to all clubs to provide the names of their Women’s 1 to 5 Singles finalists.  Most clubs responded and some offered the names of others who were showing great form and lots of promise.

In all we had 30 women who attended the initial trials and after several sessions, the squad for the 2022 – 2023 season was set at 18 players.  This is a higher number than other years and the reasons for the increase were many, including the number of the squad who will be in their final 1 to 5 years, the prospect of further disruptions with COVID and the like, and the opening of the borders meaning that international travel will be on the agenda for some.

This season, the coaches for both the Women’s and the Men’s squads are Greg Yelavich and Warren Seeque.  By combining the coaching sessions, we have established a stronger rapport between both groups.  For the women’s squad, Judy McSweeney and Trish Croot are providing coaching support and selecting advice and Garth Partridge is the Communication & Team Manager.

We believe we have some great talent, with a mix of experienced representative players and newer players.  These newer players are important for the future development of the squad, as we lose year fives at the end of each season.

We are delighted to announce the Bowls North Harbour, 1 to 5 Year, Women’s Squad for the 2022 – 2023 season as follows:
