BNH Winter Cup 2026 – Wrap-Up & Results Summary

The 2026 BNH Winter Cup has officially wrapped up following a fantastic series of competitive bowls played across the Fridays in July. Designed to keep players active and sharp throughout the mid-winter period, this year’s tournament delivered outstanding bowls, tight finishes, and great camaraderie despite the winter conditions.

A huge thank you to all our host clubs, greens convenors, umpires, and volunteers who ensured the greens were in top shape and the event ran smoothly each week.

Key Highlights & Champions

Women’s Winter Cup Champions: Birkenhead
Birkenhead put together a dominant campaign across the series, putting on a clinic in draw bowls and maintaining consistency through every end to claim the title. 

 

Men’s Winter Cup Champions: Orewa Seagulls
Orewa showed their pedigree in the Men’s division, navigating a tough field and holding their nerve in crucial pressure situations to secure top honors.  This makes it 6 wins from the last 9 years for Bowls Orewa.  Perhaps they need to be holding a cup replica.
