Representative Teams Director – 2026/2027 Season
Last season the role of Representative Teams Director (RTD) was introduced by the Board to provide leadership and coordination for all our representative teams. The role was instrumental in providing a coordinated approach with the selection of coaches/managers for our teams.
Unfortunately, the appointed person at that time decided to retire from the position after early establishment and it was left vacant for the rest of the season. In our debrief of the representative season with all our coaches/managers contributing to the discussion, it was determined the role was preferred to be retained and that the Board should proceed to advertise and fill the position for the upcoming season.
We are now calling for applications from persons interested in leading and contributing to the representative teams. Whilst the role is in the early stages of developing, the main aspects are seen as –
- Select and appoint squad managers/coaches for all our representative teams, i.e. Premier, Development, and 1-5 years for both men and women;
- Review the ongoing development and progression of the teams throughout the season;
- Being a sounding board and discussion point for managers and coaches of our teams;
- Contributing to the progress and development of the teams throughout the season;
- Reporting to the Board on the progress of the teams at regular intervals.
The Board are now seeking expressions of interest from persons enthusiastic about advancing our representative programme and supporting our coaches/players to succeed at both local and national levels.
