Champ of Champ Pairs Final Results – Helensville & Birkenhead Reign Supreme
In the Men’s final, the Helensville Pair of Bart Robertson and Ricky Howe got off to a quick start picking up 4 shots in the 1st end and the Northcote Pair of Greg Taylor & David Pierce were always behind in which ended in a one sided Final with the players shaking hands after the 15th End with the score at 25-7. Congratulations to both Teams for making the Final and a Special Congratulations to Bart Robertson who has now won both Men’s COC Events so far after winning the Singles last Sunday. Bart will be looking to make it a “3 Peat” in the COC Triples next weekend, where he is playing again with Ricky and Kylie Clark.
In the Women’s final it was a similar story to the Men’s final. Trish Croot and Kirsty Hill were fast out the gates picking up 5 shots in the 1st end and never looked back. Theresa Rogers and Sheryl Wellington never gave up during the final eventually scoring 13 shots but it was not enough to catch up to the Croot and Hill pairing.
