Bowls North Harbour NZ Masters 2026 – Day 1

October 5, 2026

The 2026 Bowls North Harbour Masters launched today, 5 October, 2026 with more than 700 entries and action spread across greens throughout the region.

This year’s refreshed age groups — 55–69 and 70+ — were a hit, attracting a wider mix of competitors and producing balanced, competitive sections across all disciplines.

Day One featured:

  • 55–69 Men’s Fours — Hobsonville (4 sections, 16 entries)
  • 70+ Men’s Fours — Manly (6 sections, 26 entries)
  • 55–69 Women’s Pairs — Takapuna (4 sections, 17 entries)
  • 70+ Women’s Pairs — Multiple greens Mairangi Bay & Browns Bay (8 sections, 33 entries)

The Sun was shining and players hit the greens with intent, each event delivering tight contests and determined efforts to secure progression.

The quality of bowling was outstanding — smart strategy, disciplined play, and plenty of ends that kept spectators glued to the action. Around the greens, the atmosphere was relaxed and familiar, with friendships renewed, rivalries revisited, and bowlers from across New Zealand enjoying the occasion together.
